Course

Start is located at the Trout Pond of Letchworth Park. The scenic flat route proceeds along the park road adjacent to the Genesee River Gorge, before turning into a wooded back road leading to the finish line at Trailside Lodge. Course Map.

Goodies & Awards

T-shirts, by Eagle Point Sportswear, will be presented to the first 300 pre-registered participants in the 5K race. Pre-registered entrants only are eligible for draw prizes.

Lodging

Post Race Party

A box lunch prepared by Chefs at the Glen Iris Inn will include a Chicken or Garden vegetable wrap, apple, chips, brownie and a beverage. This meal is included in the registration fee for all racers. Spectators may purchase a box lunch for $10.


Getting Here

From Rochester: 390 S Geneseo exit, take Rt 20A W to 39W. In Castile take a left on Park Rd. East. Follow Park Rd. out of village and take a left at stop sign at Denton Corner. Enter Entrance of Park and take a right to Trailside Lodge.

From Buffalo: 400 S to 20A E to Warsaw. Take a right to 19 S to 19A S past village of Castile. Take a left at stop sign at Denton Corner. Enter Entrance or Park and take a right to Trailside Lodge.

From Corning: West on Rt 17, Hornell exit N or Rt 36 on Rt 70 to end. W on Rt 436 to Portageville entrance of Park. Follow to Trailside Lodge.

Release Details

In consideration of the acceptance of my or my child entry into the events, I hereby make the following agreements: I know that running or walking in a road race is potentially hazardous activity. I should not participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run or walk. I assume all physical psychological risks associated with running in this event, including, but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, vehicles, or other objects; the effects of the weather, including high heat or humidity; traffic and the conditions of the roads; and negligent acts of participants or spectators, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my or my child's entry, I fully release forever discharge the Glen Iris Inn, Letchworth State Park, The Castile Library, The Village of Castile, and all other sponsoring organizations and institutions from any other claims, demands, damages, causes of action, liabilities or expenses of any kind whatsoever, which occur directly or indirectly, as a result of or in connection with my participation of the event, even if such consequences result from the negligence, fault, or carelessness of the organizers or sponsoring organizations. This release shall be binding on my heirs, administrators, successors and assigns, and shall inure to the benefit of the successors and assigns, and assigns of the organizers and sponsoring entities. By this release I fully intend to discharge the said organizations from any and all injuries or losses suffered by me while participating in or traveling to/from this event. By entering any of these events I agree to the terms of the above release.
